Custom Infrared Sauna Installation for Santa Barbara Homes
Infrared saunas have grown in popularity across Santa Barbara largely because they fit into spaces a traditional sauna simply can't, whether that's a corner of a home gym, a converted closet, or a small room off a primary bathroom. The panel heaters used in infrared units come in a few different wavelength configurations, and we help clients choose the right setup based on whether they're prioritizing a more intense, near-infrared experience or a broader full-spectrum heat that many people find better suited to longer daily sessions.
Because infrared systems run at lower air temperatures than traditional rock-heater saunas, they're often a better fit for people who want to use their sauna daily without the higher heat tolerance a traditional build demands. The reduced heat-up time, usually around 15 minutes compared to 30 to 45 minutes for a traditional unit, also makes infrared saunas more practical for fitting into a busy schedule rather than requiring significant advance planning before each use.
We build infrared saunas using the same cedar and hemlock interiors as our traditional units, with panel placement designed around your typical seating position to maximize coverage. Electrical requirements for infrared systems are generally lower than traditional stoves, which can simplify the installation in homes with limited circuit capacity in the install area.
